Flight alerts for families visiting home — so nobody has to refresh an airline website at midnight again.

01 — THE ITCH
Families living abroad watch flight prices like weather. Parents want to visit, prices jump, and someone ends up checking five websites every night.
02 — WHAT WE BUILT
A simple alert service: tell it the route and a rough month, and it sends one calm message when prices drop.
I built the price-tracking backend and the scheduler that kept us polite to the airline APIs.
03 — WHAT I LEARNED
- Rate limits are a design constraint, not an afterthought.
- One good alert beats ten noisy ones.
- Build for the people who need it most, then everyone benefits.
